Renato Guttuso and Czechoslovakia
V širších souvislostech se proto práce zabývá dobovou kulturní a politickou situací v Itálii a v Československu a přináší vhled do vzájemných kulturních vztahů obou zemí. Autorka vycházela z dobové literatury, archivních pramenů (archiv Ministerstva zahraničních věcí, archiv Národní Galerie) a dobového tisku (zejména časopisy Výtvarné umění, Výtvarná práce, deník Rudé právo, měsíčník Literární noviny).

The main focus is on the European Steel and Coal Community and the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation. Post-war development of European integration had become precondition to its future development into its contemporary form. This bachelor's thesis use comparison method to explain, why has today's European Union has foundations in the European Steel and Coal Community and not in the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation. This analysis answers the question on the basis of theory of neo-realism that is based on anarchic conception of international relations, importance of national interest and balance of power. Research itself consists of two parts. At first, it focuses on national interests of chosen countries in post-war Europe and on politics of afore mentioned organizations towards European integration. Afterwards, it concentrates on economical impact of both organizations and on economical interests of chosen states. The thesis concludes that European integration and success of the European...

Šlapal, Jan ; Kučerová, Irah (advisor) ; Bocianová, Kateřina (referee)
After the Eastern enlargement in the year 2004 and 2007 the European Union is on the threshold of another expansion. Turkey and Croatia are the first countries that received the official candidate status. Turkey is the longest waiting contender for the adoption into the European Union structures; Croatia is the most anticipated candidate to receive the membership and should become a member on July 1st , 2013. The thesis "Comparison of preparedness of economies of Turkey and Croatia to join the European Union" aims to compare the economic readiness of these two countries for European Union full membership, detects the cons and pros of possible integration and also explores the un-economical aspects that are (or where) the obstacles in the integration process of both countries. The goal of this thesis is to answer the question whether it is the theory of neo-realism or the theory of neo- functionalism that explains the current accession process of Turkey and Croatia to the European Union. In the past the European integration has overcome many obstacles, has achieved many substantial results and due to its effectiveness has managed to extend the territory of peace, stability and prosperity across the continent. The coming sixth wave of enlargement has a difficult goal but it is also a great challenge...

Regionální integrace v jižní Asii (na základě SAARC)
Iyer, Arun ; Druláková, Radka (advisor) ; Maslowski, Nicolas (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to show the weakness of SAARC right from its origins as well as a great flaw in the making of the charter which excluded the notion of security as well as "bilateral" and "contentious" issues to be discussed in the organization. South Asia has for long been an area prone to violence and mistrust and the exclusion of elements of vital importance has further added to the weakness of SAARC. In the following work I will portray the dynamics and working of the region of SAARC as well as individual countries on how it affects the region as a whole and also why SAARC continues to be a toothless organization in-spite knowing the origin of the problem and why nothing is being done. Also, with the case study of India and Pakistan, it shows us that when two nations of totally opposite ideologies and bloody beginnings since independence exist within the region, the idea of integration is a far fetched dream.
The Position of Lebanon in the Actual International Relations
Šabacká, Yvona ; Skalník, Petr (advisor) ; Eichler, Jan (referee) ; Gombár, Eduard (referee) ; Lehmannová, Zuzana (referee)
Lebanese society involves the Western, i.e. liberal and democratic model, and the Islamic model of society as umma. This Lebanese model originated and has been maintained as a compromise between communities of different value paradigms where no significant shift can be expected as Lebanon is situated at the borders of their territorial expansion. According to my analysis on the basis of theoretical concepts of neo-realism and social constructivism the external players prevail over the internal players. External players have essential influence on the development of Lebanese society and state. It is also the regional status quo or regional and international order that influences the development in Lebanon and is responsible for almost every conflict, conflict initiation or struggle in Lebanon. Lebanese multiconfessional society has always made an effort to achieve and has achieved by itself a consensus for its coexistence. That is why the international community and organizations should promote and use their influence more to maintain the peaceful co-existence.
